MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH
Mental Health American founded “Mental Health Awareness Month in 1949” and has led the effort every May to promote mental wellness nationwide.
This year’s theme “More Good Days, Together,” encourages us all to reflect on what a “good day” looks like, both for ourselves, and for our communities. Together, we can use that insight to connect people to the right support at the right time, and shape advocacy, education, and community engagement to make more good days possible for all.
2026 MENTAL HEALTH MONTH ACTION GUIDE
Mental Health American offers an “Action Guide” that provides online activities, articles, printable tools, and practical resources.
In a world that can feel overwhelming or uncertain, many factors affecting our health are beyond our control. While we cannot change everything, paying attention to what we can influence can make a difference. There is no right or wrong way to use this guide. Start where it feels helpful, skip what does not fit, and come back as needed.
